Integration of personal health records in the information processes of general practices

​​Over the past years there has been a trend towards more patient-centered healthcare, to make the patient the manager of his or her own health. This self-management is thought to give the patient more insights in their medical situation. It is thought that patients would feel more responsible for their own health, resulting in better health. Information processes become more and more digitalized. This trend is also seen in the medical field in the form of ‘eHealth’ technologies.
