Maastricht UMC+ and Uniklinik RWTH Aachen (lab results)

Maastricht UMC+ and Uniklinik RWTH Aachen are working on expanding their existing collaboration in the area of image exchange by looking for ways to exchange other medical data for the multidisciplinary meetings for liver transplants, in particular laboratory results.

This only involves a few specific data that are exchanged on a weekly basis for the patients in question. This information is currently sent via hard copy letters, secure email and/or manual registration. However, these means of communication are not always secure or user-friendly. There are frequent delays, which means the patient data aren’t always complete and/or available in time, resulting in (expensive) diagnostics tests having to be carried out again so as not to lose any time.

After analysis of the current situation, this use case was placed on hold for an indefinite time due to lack of resources. The information that was collected during the project will be made available on Amigo! at the end of the year.
